Apollo Awards in Chania & Rethymno
The hotels in Chania and Rethymno, which were favored by customers in 2023 for their outstanding service, were honored by the travel agency DERTOUR Nordic/Apollo at two separate events.
Specifically, the hotels in Chania received their awards on Sunday, April 21st, at the Cavo Spada Deluxe & Spa Giannoulis Hotels, and the hotels in Rethymno were awarded on Monday, April 22nd, at the Nautilux Rethymno by Mage Hotels.
During the events organized by DTS INCOMING HELLAS, a member of the DERTOURGroup, positive messages emerged regarding Crete as a travel destination, as it remains popular among Scandinavian holidaymakers who favor the traditional tourism model of “sun and sea.”
This sentiment was echoed by Mr. Jannis Papadakis, the president, and CEO of DTS HELLAS, who emphasized that “the sun is quite scarce in their countries, so it’s logical for them to seek it out. Thus, our country and Crete, in particular, will always be an attractive destination for Scandinavian travelers.”
Ms. Nina Hornewall, the commercial director of Apollo DERTOUR/Nordic, also delivered an exceptional presentation, highlighting that in 2023, 74% of Scandinavians took at least one trip, indicating a continuing trend this year with signs of further strengthening. With her trademark eloquence and expertise, Mrs. Hornewall outlined the details of the plans for S24 and S25, setting ambitious yet achievable goals for our operations in the region.
Among the attendees from DERTOUR Nordic/Apollo were the commercial director, Nina Hornewall; the Senior Contracting Manager, Mrs. Lotta Sundvall; the Contracting/Operating Manager Eastern Europe, Nikos Christoulakis; the Chief Revenue & Optimization, Christofer Roth; the Concepts Director, Jamila Assel; and the Head of Administration, Matthias Karlsson.
From DTS HELLAS, in addition to Mr. Papadakis, the Contract Manager DTS, Maria Kanetou; the Contract Manager Eastern Europe, Iraklis Basogiannis, the Operation Manager CHQ, Despina Stathaki and the Destination Manager of Chania & Rethymno, Eleni Dilvoi, attended.
Also present were Mr. Manolis Giannoulis, the president of the Association of Hoteliers of Chania, and Mr. Manolis Tsakalakis, the president of the Association of Hoteliers of Rethymno, along with various representatives of organizations.
