Hamezi-Festival

We are thrilled to announce that the Hamezi Festival is scheduled for summer 2024. This festival will feature music and dance seminars, in addition to a workshop on weaving and natural dyes. All these events will be held in the charming streets and courtyards of Hamezi village! On top of all the workshops, there will also be several events open to everyone in the village during the festival days. We hope to see you there! Learn more (info/program/access etc)

The Mediterranean Radio Festival of Sitia

When the Mediterranean meets the radio! Music and voices unite, to travel by radio to the whole world!

Festive summer vibes, sounds, dances, and the glow of the Mediterranean Sea, broadcasted straight to our hearts, will fulfill our souls at one of the largest festivals in Crete! Sitia, the princess of Crete surrounded by sounds and the salty sea breeze, is once again the meeting spot for people to celebrate.

Unique musical groups, special performers, volunteers, various associations, sponsors, and communication promotors join their forces to organize this great festival. Traditional music from all over Greece and Europe, explosive Balkan dances, melodies, and arrangements in calming “rebetiko” and hip-hop rhythms. Music with positive energy, percussion, strings, and wind instruments, from rock to traditional, flamenco as well as Cretan music, are just some of the examples of this year’s musical journey.
